Replacement Main Lid Seal: Fish Mate 5000 PUV Pond Filter (6447)

I find it hard hard to get the seal to stay in the channel at the top of the tub even though lightly smeard cilicon on the seal as recommended by AI. Start on the rim at 12 o,clock 6..3.and 9 then used clothes line clips spaced around the rim to hold the seal in place and leave it a couple of days and see if will stay on after the clips have been taken off hopping it stays in place .
