Description

Give your feline friends the best of both worlds with the Microchip Cat Flap. This smart cat door from Closer Pets operates using your cats’ unique microchip or a Pet Mate I.D. disc (available here), allowing them to explore the great outdoors when they wish, and then return to their favourite cosy spot by the fireplace.

This user-friendly solution gives your cats easy, stress-free access, while stopping unauthorised pets or wildlife from entering the home. It lets any of your pets (paired or unpaired) out, unless locked manually using the rotary four-way lock, which gives you complete control. It’s even draught- and weather-proof, so you won’t even notice it’s there!

For multi-pet households, please note this cat flap cannot selectively control which pets can exit.

With the recent mandate for microchipping cats, our selection of microchip cat flaps becomes essential for safely enabling your feline friends to roam. It can cater for up to 30 cats, making it ideal for houses with lots of kitties!

The easy-to-use rotary 4-way lock gives complete control over all your cats access to and from the house (no individual settings function, not dual scanning). In order to save battery, the Microchip Cat Flap only scans your pet and unlocks when your pet starts putting pressure on the flap.  Encourage your pets to push against the flap by putting treats on the rim and the other side of the tinted flap. The streamlined design maximises entrance opening space – providing easy, stress-free access for your cat.

Accessories

If you need to create a longer Tunnel

If you are installing one of our products through a wall, or any section thicker than the Door/Flap itself allows, we recommend using wall liners to extend the product and create a tunnel - These can be found here

You will also require a Cat Mate Adapter Kit for Walls and Glass Panels  (Ref. 361) as this provide the Adapter between the Door/Flap and the tunnel, and also provides a neat faceplate for both inside and outside.

The liner can be cut down, if you need it slightly shorter - Each Liner section is 5cm (50mm / 2")

If you need to install in a Glass panel (A Door or Window)

You will also require a Cat Mate Adapter Kit for Walls and Glass Panels  (Ref. 361) as this provide the Adapter between the Door/Flap and the tunnel, and also provides a neat faceplate for both inside and outside.

If you need to install in UPVC Doors or Wooden doors with interior metal panels

We advise our adapter kit that is specifically designed for installation into UPVC Doors or Wooden doors with interior metal panels, to improve the sensing range of your cat’s implanted microchip. This can be found here

    Works Great

Perfect for my needs. I rent an apartment, so punching a hole in my door was a no-go. Instead I purchased a slab of plexiglass and cut it fit for a open sliding window with a standard sliding window lock.

    Must have for outdoor pets

I used this so my cat could get indoors, but not bring in the wildlife or neighboring pets. It works perfect, first try, right out of the box. Cat had no trouble adjusting, and it is easy for her to push open. I read a lot of complaints about the batteries dying fast, but I don't have that issue. I've had my door for over 6 months and am still on the first batteries. This is a must have for all future outdoor pets!

    Works perfectly

Wonderful solution for our multiple cat family. My daughter has this on her bedroom door to allow her cat exclusive access to her room while keeping my two clumsy cats out. Also keeps her cat from waking her all hours of the night wanting in and out. It took about 5 days for her cat to learn the door, especially since she has to go head first and wait for the door to unlock. But after a little learning period she has no problems and the door works perfectly.
