Good quality, very overpriced extensions and lack of clarity for fitting

Great quality Cat Flap but some issues. I need to go through a 12” wall so had to purchase 6 extensions. Cat flap was £18 but the extensions were £60 for essentially a plastic tube. Also, I did not know you need to line the tunnel with plywood so the screws can be fitted until I read instructions (should have been mentioned in the description online). I then discovered the glass fitting cat flap is more suitable for walls as the screws are further away from edge of your hole so I had to purchase this cat flap instead and cannot return the other one as I opened it

This is the second Cat Flap of the same model that we have installed

This is the second Cat Flap of the same model that we have installed. It does not perform as we would expect. We bought a locking cat flap to stop our cat coming in with live mice at night and to also stop other cats gaining access.
Unfortunately our cat can open the flap even when it is locked.
The original one became very draughty quite quickly, the second one has a better fit but our main problem has not been solved.
