Cat Mate Three-meal Automatic Pet Feeder with Digital Timer (C300)

This feeder is a lifesaver and a game changer. Our rescue cat, Pebble, began routinely waking us up at 5am every morning for food and, when ignored, the poor carpet bore the brunt of her frustration. With this feeder we've managed to save our weekend lie-ins and our carpets, and Pebble is pretty happy too. The customer care is second-to-none and every feeder comes with a 3-year guarantee for repair/replacement if things go wrong. Honestly could not be better.

When we first got it, my tuxedo menace did try to dig her way inside so be prepared to hear your cat beat the feeder up initially. I'd advise getting a rubber mat or blocking it in place with furniture or shoes so it doesn't go wandering around your room like a bullied Roomba. The feeder was the ultimate victor in that fight though and now she doesn't even bother trying.

We purchased a second one, so Pebble has one feeder for dry biscuits (her early morning 'don't wake us up' snack and her dinner) and one for her wet food pouch (breakfast), and we only have to actually put her food in the feeders once per day (usually before we go to bed) so we can still go out for the day/evening without worrying about her feeding schedule. Her feeding is so structured now that I knew immediately something was amiss when she wasn't back in for dinner one day, and I went outside to find her being intimidated by a neighbour's chihuahua!

Each feeder has 3 decent-sized compartments and 2 are 'hidden' with one open at any one time. You can set 2 meal times and they'll repeat each day, with the compartments rotating at the next set mealtime, and you can adjust the times as you need to. It doesn't beep but the rotation makes a sound that my cat hears and comes running, if she's not already camped out waiting for it. The ice packs are reusable and it means we can put her wet food inside at night and it's still OK in the morning. Each feeder takes 3x AA alkaline batteries, and they tend to last a good while (maybe every month or two?).

This is brilliant, and has honestly saved me so much time and effort which is not bad at all for the price!

This was a replacement for a faulty unit and arrived very quickly. Customer support were great and helped me try to resolve the fault over the phone before sending a replacement. Can't fault that.

Great customer service. My feeder started to play up nearly a year after purchase but Closer Pets replaced very swiftly with no quibbles.

My feeder stopped working suddenly, but they were nice enough to just send a replacement. It doesn't make up for my cat missing meals, but it's nice to not have to faff with returning a broken feeder.
